Summary: | BAIINFO-China, Domestic GPC prices moved up in early-to-mid Jan. and slid gradually in late Jan. On the one hand, some refineries cut or suspended production, leading to less supply. On the other hand, downstream carbon plants were active in replenishment before the Spring Festival holidays, prompting to smooth shipments. Hence, GPC prices ran bullish in most of time in Jan. Compared to the end of Dec., 2023, Sinopec refineries raised prices by RMB 30-170/T. |
